So, I rediscovered my love for making poems, even though hearing myself sometimes makes me cringe harder than an overripe banana. They've been working tirelessly on fixing my throat and voice, making sure I can unleash my awesomeness upon the world.īut here's the thing: I've been avoiding using my voice like a cat avoids water, it's time to change that. And guess who showed up? My warrior women, my ancestral guides, always there to support me. It's time to kick some metaphorical butt and reclaim my voice!ĭuring a coaching session earlier this year, we were encouraged to focus on what we needed to attract. Now, I can approach writing as a superpower, a gift to embrace my inner ninja battles instead of letting those sneaky ninjas take me down without even realizing it. This discovery has opened a whole new world of possibilities. ![]() Okay, maybe not that magical, but you get the picture. It was magical on the inside. Nah, it was more like a gentle unveiling, like when cloud's part after a vicious storm, revealing a double rainbow. ![]() It wasn't some dramatic revelation with lightning bolts and a choir of angels singing. Through my newfound dedication to meditation (and a tad of humour), I started unravelling my hidden patterns. And deep down in the darkest corners of my subconscious, I found the wackiest idea: using my voice might result in a full-blown ninja attack! Yeah, I know, it sounds like something out of a bad kung fu movie, but bear with me. You see, writing has become my secret substitute for having a voice in this crazy world. Not quite Dunn's River in Jamaica.īut guess what? I stumbled upon a shocking revelation. And let me tell you, it takes me nowhere except a one-way ticket to Feeling-Inadequate-Ville. In the immortal words of Rakim from Erik B and Rakim duo "It’s been a long time I shouldn't have left you without a dope beat to step to"īut lately, I've been caught up in the wild world of overthinking. ![]()
